The Frequent Fryer Program. A McDonald’s App based program designed to have fans reaching for their phones and ordering McDonald’s, by offering fry-based incentives. This year, the incentive was free McShaker Fries in unique international flavours. To launch, we created a whimsical airport setting to let people know about the new flavours. Then to get people ordering on the app, we created a Canada wide scavenger hunt where consumers had to find ‘frycons’ for a chance to win. We hid frycons everywhere - in the real world and the digital one. The campaign was a huge success, generating a 5% lift to the overall fry category, (that’s enough fries to stretch from Toronto to Guatemala.)
